that's up to $800* per semester! $1600* a year!
yah, you better jump for joy! |
(and these are them:)
•They attend full-time at a public college or university in Ontario.
•It’s been less than four years since they left high school.
•They are in a program they can enter directly from high school.
•Their parents’ gross income is $160,000 or less
but the good 'ol CSA at U of G will have none of this glass-half-full business. no, it's all sour milk in there as they report that only 44% of the students will even qualify. they'd rather have a 13% reduction across the board for all students
but i say: what about next year? surely the eligible number will increase. and same for the next year.
Bruce Campbell would, rightly, call the CSA a 'bunch of whiner babies' |
full time:
makes sense - if you go part time you can get a job and earn while you get a degree
ontario uni or college:
you wanted to pay for someone's havard degree?
enter direct from highschool:
this isn't for you future vet/med/law school students... you'll be earning plenty of money when you are done.
4 years since highschool:
let's face it, students are taking their time nowadays (and that's fine) but the rebate will be an incentive to finish up quicker
OR
maybe you're in co-op, leading to a longer grad time. but co-op jobs mean you are earning good pay alongside great resume builders. double plus plus
parents income:
$160,000 is pretty high... i think 'ol pops can give you a hand when he's got that much coming in
